Moving to Phoenix?

Choosing Where to Live When Moving to Phoenix

Moving to Phoenix means getting to know a metropolitan area that's expansive and diverse. Factors like your daily commute, desired lifestyle, preferred home style, budget, school districts, recreation access, and proximity to everyday needs can make different parts of the Valley feel like entirely different worlds. Finding the right fit is the first step to truly calling Arizona home.

The Valley at a Glance

When people say “Phoenix,” they’re often talking about the much larger Phoenix metropolitan area, commonly called the Valley. It includes Phoenix itself along with dozens of surrounding communities. One of the easiest ways to start getting oriented is to think of the metro in terms of the East Valley, West Valley and Phoenix/Central areas.

East Valley

Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Queen Creek and surrounding communities. Known for a wide mix of established neighborhoods, master-planned communities and new construction.

Phoenix & Central Valley

Phoenix and its surrounding central areas offer everything from urban neighborhoods and historic districts to suburban communities and mountain-adjacent living.

West Valley

Communities west of Phoenix offer established neighborhoods alongside significant new growth and development.

Not Sure Where to Start?

That’s where I can help. I work with buyers relocating to the Phoenix area to narrow down the communities that make sense for their lifestyle, budget and day-to-day needs—before we start focusing on individual homes.
